This week starts off with a solar eclipse and New Moon in Pisces. This gives us a magical start to the week at Hidden Insights, especially when it comes to any psychic or spiritual work you are doing.
Eclipses have a way of bringing in necessary change, and New Moons open up pathways and portals through which we can enter. Given that Pisces is the most transcendent sign of the zodiac, this is an ideal time to begin learning a new type of divination — like tarot or Lenormand cards, for example — or keeping a dream journal, exploring channeling, or any other path that is calling to you.
Ruled by Neptune, Pisces is also highly creative, helping us to connect to art and poetry. Maybe you have an idea for a manuscript — why not set an intention this weekend to let your creativity flow?
Prioritizing your creative and personal needs might become a bigger theme for you overall in the weeks to come, as Venus retrograde begins at the end of the week, on Saturday, 4 March 2017. The planet of feminine energy, love, beauty, and art is in the sign of Aries. Aries is aggressive, competitive, and fast, while Venus likes to take her time.
How will these two work together? You might be pushed to evaluate your own personal boundaries: How much do you give, and how much do you get? Are you making space for self-care, creativity, and comfort?
Retrogrades help us rethink current ways of being, and this Venus retrograde will help you to strengthen your relationship with yourself and others — though that might also mean making necessary changes in the process.
When we look at the New Moon on Sunday and Venus retrograde on Saturday, the week is bookended by the water — Pisces and Aries, respectively. What kind of balance can you strike between each of them?
Here’s a look at what’s coming up for your sign this week:
Aries (21 March — 19 April)
Let your instinct be your compass, Aries. Not that you need me to tell you that. Something big has been brewing under the surface all year and it’s time to let it out. This isn’t just any other decision for you — it’s something that’s has the makings of a personal revolution. What is your soul calling for right now?
A question to meditate on: What can my strength support?
Taurus (20 April — 20 May)
Guard up, or guard down? That’s up to you to decide in the days to come, Taurus. You can’t please everyone, but you should at least start with pleasing yourself. And if that means putting up or tearing down some walls, then I suggest you start getting some plans ready this week. You major renovation is on its way, but you want to make sure that the blueprint isn’t in anyone else’s hands but yours.
A question to meditate on: How strong are my boundaries?
Gemini (21 May — 20 June)
Can I assign you some homework this week, Gemini? Set some time aside in the weeks to come where you can be totally, completely alone — no internet, no phone, no friends, no distractions. Book yourself on a meditation retreat or simply hide away for the day. However you do it, make sure that you can be alone with your thoughts. I think it’s time for you to have a good talk with yourself, first and foremost.
A question to meditate on: What do I value at this point in my life?
Cancer (21 June — 22 July)
Dual insights: That’s my hope for you this week, Cancer. I want you to feel enlightened about your path and purpose as much as you can be enlightened about your spiritual core. And if this week’s new lunar cycle can help to shed light on how you can marry the two, then even better. Synergy is what you should aim for.
A question to meditate on: What do I want to wake up to?
Leo (23 July — 22 August)
Is home really where your heart is, Leo? What if your heart alone was home? What would you always carry with you? How would you centre yourself even if you were stranded miles away from familiar territory? I think this week is the beginning of a new inner world, Leo. Think about what your inner sanctuary might consist of, and then start building it.
A question to meditate on: What do I want to carry with me?
Virgo (23 August — 22 September)
Let reality slip away this week, Virgo. I know that isn’t always easy to do — you want answers, facts, and processes — but I think this week’s New Moon is inviting you to place a little more of your trust in the unknown right now. It’s okay for life to feel a little foggy sometimes. It’s okay if you’re not sure where things are going. Invite some mystery into your life.
A question to meditate on: What would it be like to simply surrender?
Libra (23 September — 22 October)
Who are you trying to please, Libra? I hope one of the people on that list is yourself — and if it’s not, Venus is going to push you to correct that in the weeks to come. So why not just get on it now? Here’s a fun assignment: Plan out one fun thing for you to do each week from now until April 15, which is when Venus goes direct. Make sure nothing gets in the way between me, myself, and I.
A question to meditate on: What do I want to give to myself?
Scorpio (23 October — 21 November)
Creativity comes in many forms, Scorpio, and I think this New Moon is going to be one that will help you to break away from any fear that’s kept you from expressing an important aspect of yourself. What might you build once that fear is eradicated? It might begin with simply creating a new way of seeing yourself. Whatever happens, let the change take place.
A question to meditate on: What am I no longer willing to be afraid of?
Sagittarius (22 November — 22 December)
A seed is being planted, Sagittarius. It begins with some divine intervention. If you have time, try this visualization during the New Moon in Pisces: Sit or stand, however you like. Imagine a white light forming at the crown of your head, connecting up, up, up into space. Now, let that light flow all through your body, filling you with new insights as you chant the word “free.”
A question to meditate on: What am I ready to receive?
Capricorn (22 December — 19 January)
If you feel like your foundation is about to fall, don’t fight it, Capricorn. Remember that you are moving mountains, and sometimes that means letting an old one crumble. You’ve probably already climbed and conquered it anyway, so why try to hang on to what you’ve defeated? This is not a time to relive old victories. It’s about staking out new ones. Be brave.
A question to meditate on: What can I no longer fight?
Aquarius (20 January — 18 February)
What are you waiting for, Aquarius? I think this is a week to stake your claim. Stop playing small. Stop waiting to be seen and just get out there and grab the world between both hands and let us all know that you are here, that you are amazing, and that you have something to share that no one has ever seen before. We need it. We need you.
A question to meditate on: How can I claim more space?
Pisces (19 February — 20 March)
Happy New Moon, Pisces! This is your astrological new year — how special that it coincides with a solar eclipse. This New Moon is a day that can bring on some massive shifts for you in all the right ways — just remember to stay open to what comes, and stay purposeful with your intentions. Mercury, the Moon, the Sun, Chiron, and Neptune are all in your sign right now — as though the world is at your feet. It’s time to make a move towards something you might have only dreamed about before.
