How has Scorpio’s intense energy been treating you? For some, Scorpio works gently, its water energies flowing softly, offering new spiritual insights and personal acceptance.
For others, it can bring up some major breakthroughs which, while pivotal, can sometimes be quite jarring. Surprises can come up in the form of painful secrets or abrupt but necessary endings.
Whatever you’ve been feeling throughout the past several weeks, you can expect to feel a major shift in energy when the Sun moves into fiery Sagittarius on Monday, 20 November 2016.
Sagittarius is expansive, optimistic, idealistic, and adventurous. Ruled by lucky Jupiter, things can get big with the Sun in Sagittarius. It’s a marked change from introverted, mysterious Scorpio. Now that we’ve mined our own personal depths, it’s time to re-emerge with fresh intentions and new horizons.
If you’ve been feeling stalled or sidelined, especially emotionally, over the past little while, this week offers some relief. Tap into Sagittarius’ energy and allow its fire to burn away whatever has been holding you back.
Here’s a look at what’s coming up for your sign this week:
Aries (21 March — 19 April)
What kind of old wound have you never truly seemed to recover from, Aries? What’s that one lingering resentment you hang on to, or that one memory that still seems to gnaw at you? I think this is the week to decide, once and for all, to transform that niggling pain into something constructive. Channel your creative forces and turn into an epic poem, song, or painting. Spill your guts in a blog. Or, if art isn’t your thing, at least find someone you can vent to. As you do so, make a promise that from that point on, this pain will take on a new life. You can be the one to decide what it is.

Taurus (20 April — 20 May)
Structure is the theme for you this week, Taurus. In the coming days, I see you feeling fired up about how to create more security and stability in your life. Don’t fight the process. You have what it takes to figure this out. But remember that your definition of stability doesn’t have to match up to society’s version. You have space to play around with what this concept means: What do you need to feel safe in this world? What is currently acting as a threat to that — whether it’s your creativity, freedom, or happiness that are being compromised?

Gemini (21 May — 20 June)
Will you help or hinder this week, Gemini? While you do have a knack for tapping into the truth even when people don’t want to hear it, I think this week your powers of perception will be unusually strong. So use them wisely. I see you walking a fine line in the days to come where your words can act as oracles or daggers, potions or poisons. As you decide which ones to implement, remember that the words you use can also be directed back to yourself: Are you healing or harming your own spirit?

Cancer (21 June — 22 July)
How much value are you putting on other people these days, Cancer? Are you letting outside opinions and ideas dictate your moods? Are you basing your decisions off of what others may possibly think? Forget all that. This week, determine what’s important to you: What do you want right now? What do you like? What do you want to do? And then set out to do those things. If someone doesn’t like it, leave them in the dust. This is a time to reconfigure your values around your ideas, not someone else’s.

Leo (23 July — 22 August)
What kind of magic are you ready to make, Leo? I see this as something that needs to begin at home. Is your current dwelling suitable for you? Do you feel powerful, in control, sensual, and soft, all at once? In the coming weeks, I think finding the right combination of elements within your personal space is going to be of great importance to you. Imagine this as a time to redecorate your seat of power. If you were to house your heart, how would you want it to be displayed?

Virgo (23 August — 22 September)
Out of all the signs, I think you’re going to be most comfortable in your skin this week, Virgo. In the coming days, I see you reaching deep to peel back the layers of your voice that you’ve been keeping in the shadows for far too long. I see you finding the courage to speak a truth that you’ve been aching to acknowledge. I see you bringing something full circle that can allow for you to release some karmic debt and carry out the remaining calendar year feeling freer and lighter than you could imagine.

Libra (23 September — 22 October)
Latch onto the Sagittarian energy coming through this week, Libra. Even though you’re an air sign, I think you’ll be feeling pretty fiery in the days ahead, and it’s in your best interest to roll with it. I would be surprised if the universe hands you a tiny seed – maybe in the form of an idea, a new friend or collaborator, or other opportunity – that has the potential to grow into a big, juicy crop. But you’ll need vision, motivation, and willpower to see the possibilities, and to commit to carrying them through. Are you up for the task?

Scorpio (23 October — 21 November)
Wake up, Scorpio. It’s time to put your magic to use. This week, I want you to commit to transforming one aspect of your reality within the next six months. Whether that requires that you create something new, or initiate a transformation that is more subtle and internal is up to you. But I think that by now, the universe has given you ample insight this fall into the new direction you need to be heading in. It’s one where your personal power can increase, so get to it.

Sagittarius (22 November — 22 December)
Happy solar return, Sagittarius! Where has the time gone? Better yet, what have the past 12 months brought you to? As the Sun moves into your sign early this week, it’s the perfect to evaluate where you’re at, and what you’d still like to accomplish at this point in time. In fact, I think you might be starting to realize that you’re due for a little bit of a makeover – and we’re not talking about a new hair colour. No, I think you’re going to start to feel that it’s time to make a move away from a place that’s kept you quite comfortable for this past year. It will require that you change your impression of yourself. Be willing to let go of your self-perception and ask what you might see differently if you allowed for a bit of change.

Capricorn (22 December — 19 January)
What is happening to you, Capricorn? If you feel unstoppable on some days, and then completely derailed the next, take heart: The ebbs and flows you’re experiencing now are all going to even out in the long run. If it’s any consolation, your powers of perception are at an all-time high right now. Take note of what feels out of control for you. Make it a task to work out how you can change that: What can you do differently? Where can you enlist some help from a friend? Where do you need to change course? By the end of the week, I think you can have a good dose of clarity to work with.

Aquarius (20 January — 18 February)
Have you ever heard of opposite day? It’s the idea that whatever the norm may be, you should do the opposite. I think this is a great week for you to experiment with an opposite day of your own. If you typically wear all black, wear all white instead. Skip a day of work. Or work an extra hour instead of cutting corners. Drink water instead of pop, tea instead of coffee. Say goobye when you mean hello. Tinker with the order of the universe. Rebel against your usual ways. See what it feels like to break your own rules.

Pisces (19 February — 20 March)
Are you the teacher or the student? I think this is a question that’s going to become a bigger theme for you in the months ahead, Pisces. It might be a good time to seek out a mentor, or think about signing up for a class this coming winter. But don’t get all academic about it: The teacher you are seeking out should be someone who can help unlock some of your inner magic. Think vulnerability, trust, and personal evolution when you’re seeking out an individual who can be your guide at this time. What are you ready to let someone else see in you?
