We start this week off with a bang, with the Full Moon in Capricorn on Sunday, 9 July 2017 that resonates profoundly through the days to follow. Hidden Insights has advice for a week of power struggles and grand gestures.
Certain aspects will last all week, and some will be in orbit for many weeks to come. For example, the purifying Sun-Mars conjunction that lasts all the way until the middle of August.
More pertinent for us, though, is the Full Moon which aligns closely with the Mars-Pluto opposition that has very recently been exact and is now starting to separate. Thanks to this, we experience Moon-Pluto and Sun-Mars conjunctions. Jupiter in Libra is in a challenging square to both of them.
We’ll be feeling varying levels of emotional intensity and impatience with this one. We’re extra tender, unconsciously agitated and demanding justice. It’s a challenging combination that can reflect unusual, polarized reactions, as well as a sense that we’re being forced into action to restore harmony.
Neptune also aspects the Sun and Moon by a comparably more agreeable trine aspect. Our experience may be almost unbelievable and dreamlike at times. You’d be forgiven if you began to develop serious mistrust in the evidence of your senses, or if when looking at the collective you couldn’t help but wonder: Can this nightmare be real?
Venus in Gemini is sextile Mercury in Leo all week, emboldening our intellectual expression with the colour of courage. Drama and being full of hot air is one manifestation of this aspect; but another is eloquent articulation that comes straight from the heart.
Here’s a look at what’s coming up for your sign this week:
Aries (21 March — 19 April)
Home is ideally somewhere you can feel safe enough to relax, Aries. Somewhere that you can re-charge yourself after fighting your various battles out there in the big, wide world. If there’s someone or something in your nest that’s making this sanctuary feel more like somewhere you want to escape from, rather than the safe haven it should be, then it’s time to assert some influence.
Your Full Moon ritual manifests safe space.
Taurus (20 April — 20 May)
Truth is fickle this week, Taurus. And getting the straight facts of a situation may be a waste of your time overall, since everything is subject to so much flux this week. Much of this is to do with how opinions are often based on emotions, rather than verifiable evidence. And emotions are neither fixed nor always predictable. There’s nothing for it – you’ll have to accept that some of your decisions will be made before all the details fully come to light.
Your Full Moon ritual helps you to go with the flow.
Gemini (21 May — 20 June)
It’s a good week to break the mould, Gemini. Especially if you’ve been feeling like you’re stuck in a bit of a rut. If you’ve been dealing with a generalized sense of dissatisfaction, then remember to stop and reflect on your process every now and again. It’s likely that there are some activities and expenditures that can be cut back or called quits altogether. Ultimately, if you want to inject a bit more excitement into everyday life, it’s up to you.
Your Full Moon ritual puts some pep in your step.
Cancer (21 June — 22 July)
It’s your time to shine, Cancer. The Sun and Mars lend their dynamic power to you over these weeks and you’re going to find it hard not be in the spotlight. If you’re not comfortable with your own raw creative potential this may feel uncomfortable at first. You’re encouraged to lean in rather than run and hide. The more you resist your natural drive to create, the more likely it is that it will actually cause trouble for you or those around you.
Your Full Moon ritual objects include a vessel and a flame.
Leo (23 July — 22 August)
Even though revelations are virtually overflowing from your subconscious at the moment, Leo, all your work still needs to get done. It might be useful for you to carve out some quiet space to work with and honour your abundant imagination — and mitigate some of the distraction that can occur otherwise. It definitely pays to be organized this week. So commit to a schedule, lest your imagination carries you too far beyond the everyday to get anything done.
Your Full Moon ritual honours the sacred and the mundane.
Virgo (23 August — 22 September)
Friend or foe, Virgo? Sometimes we’re genuinely on the receiving end of an unfortunate or unnecessary exchange, and we’re forced to create stronger boundaries to protect ourselves. Other times, we’re too quick to jump into defensive mode. If you find yourself in a situation that feels like it calls for this kind of response, remembering who you’re talking to may help you to discern the quality and quantity of energy that’s worth spending.
Your Full Moon ritual encourages clear-feeling.
Libra (23 September — 22 October)
Ok, Libra, before we go any further, let’s stop and take stock of exactly where you are. You’re at risk of going on full auto-pilot; hence why it’s currently important for you to get grounded and figure out what the state of play is. This includes: counting your blessings, celebrating your successes, getting clear on what’s not working, and re-establishing your priorities. Once you’re clear on all that, you’ll be back on your way to feeling self-assured.
Your Full Moon ritual elevates your perspective.
Scorpio (23 October — 21 November)
Dear Scorpio: In order to keep up with the revelatory quality of the present moment, some of your philosophies may be in need of updating – or at least tweaking. Fortunately, the Full Moon in Capricorn lends power to your storytelling. This includes everything from ordinary gossip to whatever you’re telling yourself about your life purpose. All stories reflect and feed deeper experiences, so be mindful about which ones you enforce.
Your Full Moon mantra is emotionally purifying.
Sagittarius (22 November — 22 December)
This is likely to be an emotionally intense week for you, Sagittarius. There’s a need to deepen your connection with your own divine self, and this will undoubtedly have consequences. If you feel yourself losing it in some way — either with yourself, other people or simply the circumstances around your life presently — then rather than succumb to reactivity, you’re challenged to go deeper. Go into the darkness of your fragility and shine your light.
Your Full Moon ritual aligns you with your deepest truth.
Capricorn (22 December — 19 January)
The Full Moon brings all sorts of opportunities knocking, Capricorn. Some are totally random and some are the result of hard work that you’ve put in in the past. Saying yes to these opportunities isn’t just going to be a decision based on sound reasoning. It’s also about what feels good. Don’t be tempted to reject an idea because it’s not practical or strategic enough, or you might miss out on something special.
Your Full Moon ritual inspires you to accept a tempting invitation.
Aquarius (20 January — 18 February)
Who’s in the driver’s seat, Aquarius? It seems that at some point in the past you felt you’d be better off if you took your hands off the wheel regarding some key area of your life. Whether or not this served you well at the time, it’s certainly become outmoded now. Make no mistake: It’s going to require a great amount of dedication to get yourself back in control of certain things. But be assured — it’s worth it.
Your Full Moon ritual helps to reconnect you with a sense of purpose.
Pisces (19 February — 20 March)
The Full Moon aligns with two areas of your solar chart, Pisces. One area refers to the manifestation of your creativity; the other to your involvement with your wider social network. Although it can be uncomfortable to reveal your most intimate sentiments to the world and risk feedback, it pays massive dividends in the long run. Honour both principles by being willing to put yourself and your creations out there.
Your Full Moon ritual banishes shame.
